Heather Sinfield (RSW, MSW)
Owner | Registered Social Worker | Counselling Therapist
Heather is a Registered Social Worker, therapist, supervisor, and consultant with 20 years of experience supporting people through some of life’s most complicated seasons. She is the founder of Joyful Living Therapy Collective, where she brings together compassionate, relationship-centred care with a deep belief that your story matters.
Her work is grounded in attachment, trauma-informed, feminist, humanistic, and strengths-based approaches. She has a particular passion for helping individuals and couples navigate relationship struggles, life transitions, burnout, trauma, and the unique challenges that can come with building a life and relationship in agriculture.
Heather believes therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale—where you can be honest, understood, challenged with compassion, and supported in finding your way forward. Her approach blends clinical knowledge with warmth, humour, curiosity, and a genuine appreciation for the complexity of being human.
Outside of the therapy room, Heather is married to a fourth generation grain farmer and co-owns Eagle Rock Farms Inc. with her husband. She is a mother of three, a creative, and lifelong learner. She understands that because life can be messy and relationships can be complex – sometimes we just need someone in our corner who gets it and will walk along beside us.
Kassi Peel
Counselling Therapist | Master of Counselling Psychology Student
Kassi is a Registered Counselling Therapist through the Alberta Counselling Therapy Association (ACTA #2859) and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. She has nearly 10 years of experience in the human services field, including almost five years working as a counsellor in nonprofit and private practice settings. Her experience includes supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, and difficult life transitions. In private practice, Kassi primarily works with couples and is trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. She works under clinical supervision with Heather and is committed to ongoing education and training.
Kassi’s approach is relational and attachment-focused, with a strong belief in the importance of human connection. She aims to create a space where clients feel understood and can slow down to explore what is happening beneath the surface. As a mother of two, Kassi has a particular interest in supporting young parents as they navigate the changes and challenges that come with this stage of life. Outside of counselling, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and making the most of everyday adventures with her children. Following her master’s degree, Kassi plans to pursue registration as a psychologist through the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
